5 Youngest Captain who led their Team in the IPL history
The IPL got another captain on Tuesday. In the absence of their injured captain Shreyas Iyer, Delhi Capitals have decided to hand over the command of the team to Rishabh Pant in the upcoming season. For this 23-year-old player, 2021 has proved to be fantastic on every front so far. After the Test, T20 International cricket and ODI series, he has now got great news in the IPL. Rishabh Pant is 23 years old and will be the youngest captain this season. He will become the fifth youngest captain in IPL history

Virat Kohli was bought on a contract by Royal Challengers Bangalore(RCB) in 2008.By 2011 he was made vice-captain of the team. After regular skipper Daniel Vettori retirement, he was appointed as the captain of RCB for the 2013 season. When Kohli was handed over the captaincy he was just 22 years old.
Australian cricketer Steven Smith was bought by Rajasthan Royals in auction for IPL 2014.Smith became the captain of Rajasthan Royals in the latter half of 2015 season. He too was 22 years old when he was handed over the captain’s responsibility.
Suresh Raina was bought by Chennai Super Kings(CSK) in the first ever auction of IPL history. But after the suspension of CSK in 2016 Raina was signed for Gujarat Lions. He captained the team for the whole season at the age of 23.
Shreyas Santosh Iyer was signed by Delhi Capitals (formerly known as Delhi Daredevils) in 2015 IPL. In the 2018 season Delhi Capitals announced Iyer as the new captain after replacing Gautam Gambhir. Iyer also captained Delhi Capitals at the age of 23 ,but younger in terms of days than Pant and due to this Iyer became the youngest captain to lead Delhi IPL franchise.
5. Rishabh Pant
Rishabh Pant at the age of 23, became the fifth youngest captain in IPL history. He will lead the Delhi Capitals in the upcoming season of IPL.
