Cyberpunk 2077 has two famous secret endings. The first, (Don’t Fear) The Reaper, was added in Patch 1.5 and lets V attack Arasaka Tower alone with Johnny Silverhand. It unlocks through strong Johnny friendship choices and is the hardest final mission because death ends the game instantly. The second, The Tower, came with Phantom Liberty in 2023. V survives after surgery, but loses implants, combat strength, and Night City status forever.
Secret Endings in Cyberpunk 2077: Reaper Mission Path
Among the secret endings in Cyberpunk 2077, (Don’t Fear) The Reaper is the most difficult and dramatic route. It sends V alone into Arasaka Tower beside Johnny Silverhand, without calling Rogue or Panam, which keeps allies safe. To unlock it, players need roughly 70% friendship with Johnny by choosing key respectful dialogue options, mainly during the Chippin’ In side job.
In the Nocturne Op55N1 rooftop scene, wait about five real minutes without selecting a plan. Johnny then offers the solo assault. This mission has no second chances, because dying immediately triggers the credits. If completed, players receive special versions of Path of Glory or New Dawn Fades.
Secret Endings in Cyberpunk 2077: Tower Fate Path
Among the secret endings in Cyberpunk 2077, The Tower was introduced with the Phantom Liberty expansion in 2023. This ending gives V a chance at survival, but at a high personal cost. To unlock it, players must side with Solomon Reed and hand Songbird to the NUSA during the Firestarter mission. After completing the follow-up quests, including Leave in Silence, V accepts an advanced surgery to remove the Relic.
The operation succeeds and saves V’s life, ending the immediate death threat. However, permanent damage to the nervous system means V can no longer use combat cyberware or enhanced abilities. Many old friendships fade, and V returns to Night City as an ordinary citizen facing a quiet future.
Secret Endings in Cyberpunk 2077: Suicide Ending Path
Among the secret endings in Cyberpunk 2077, the Path of Least Resistance is one of the darkest conclusions, though it is part of the main game and not a true hidden route. It appears during the final mission, Nocturne Op55N1, on the rooftop with Johnny Silverhand. To choose it, players select “Think I’m gonna run out of time…” and then “Let’s put this to rest.”
Instead of attacking Arasaka Tower or asking allies for help, V decides to end the struggle immediately. This route closes the story at once and leads straight to the credits. It reflects V’s exhaustion, fear, and loss of hope after the Relic crisis.
