IPL 2026 has been a dream season for Vaibhav Sooryavanshi; he has made many records this season. Some records define him as an athlete who can become a key figure for the IPL in the upcoming seasons. In the IPL 2026 season, Sooryavanshi scored 776 runs in 16 innings, and he was the highest run getter for the Rajasthan Royals throughout the season. In GT vs RR, Vaibhav scored 96 runs in just 47 deliveries, and he broke many records. 

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi Matched the Joint-Second-Fastest Record For Reaching 1,000 Runs in the IPL.

Vaibhav made the joint-fastest 1000 runs, scoring 1028 runs in 23 innings, with an average of 44.70 and a highest score of 103 runs. On 29th May, against the Gujarat Titans in the Qualifier 2 match of IPL 2026 at New Chandigarh, Vaibhav scored 96 runs in 47 balls and set this record, and it is a joint-fastest record because Lendl Simmons reached the mark of 1000 runs in the IPL 2017 season at Feroz Shah Kotla, in the Delhi Daredevils vs Mumbai Indians match, where he scored an unbeaten 68-run innings. 

Most Runs Scored in the Power Play in a Single IPL season

15-year-old Vaibhav made many records in the IPL 2026 season, and one of them is the most runs scored in the powerplay in a single IPL season, as he scored 521 runs in the powerplay. He surpassed David Warner’s record of scoring 467 runs in the IPL 2016 season. Australian cricketer Travis Head stands at No. 3 on this list with 402 runs, and he made this record in the IPL 2024 season.

RR won the match by 47 runs, and in the Qualifier 2 match played on 29th May 2026, at New Chandigarh, in this match, Vaibhav scored 96 valuable runs in 47 deliveries, and also, Dhruv Jurel has named this record, who recently scored 50 runs against SRH in the eliminator match of IPL 2026.
