Indian cricket team are currently playing against England in the 5th and the last Test match of the series at Edgbaston. Indian wicket-keeper batter made a new record in England after he scored a well deserved fifty in the second innings as well. Rishabh Pant becomes the only visiting wicket-keeper batter to score most runs in a Test match in England.

Earlier, this record was with another wicket-keeper batter named Clyde Walcott who scored 182 runs in England in the year 1950. Rishabh Pant broke his record after 70 years by scoring more than 190 runs in this 5th rescheduled Test match against England at Edgbaston on Day 4. Rishabh Pant scored an emphatic century in the first innings which help India post a total of 416 runs in the first innings. Rishabh scored 146 runs in the first innings and 57 in the second to make this new record to his name.

Pant becomes the only wicket-keeper batter after Clyde Walcott to score more than 180 runs in a Test match against England in their home. Despite this innings from Rishabh Pant, Indian team looks in trouble as they  have now lost 6 wickets on 200 runs. It will be difficult for them to give a target of more than 400 runs to England if they keep losing wickets in quick succession.
