The Super 8 round of the ongoing Men’s T20 World Cup is upon us, with eight teams defending champions India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, West Indies, England, South Africa and New Zealand grabbing the eight available spots.

Teams Qualified for the Super 8
Group A: India and Pakistan
The two arch rivals, India and Pakistan, have made it to the Super 8 after finishing first and second, respectively, in Group A.
Group B: Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe
Co-host Sri Lanka qualified for the Super 8 after defeating Australia, while Zimbabwe made it to the second round after a washout against Ireland.
Group C: West Indies and England
Former T20 World Cup winners West Indies and England managed to come out victorious in their group, which resulted in them grabbing two spots in the next round.
Group D: South Africa and New Zealand
The finalists of the 2025 T20 World Cup South Africa confirmed their spot in the Super 8 after Afghanistan’s win over UAE, while New Zealand got the better of Canada to progress to the next round.

Super 8: Format
The format of the Super 8 stage of the 2026 T20 World Cup consists of eight teams, as the name suggests, who are divided into two groups of four teams each, with the standings decided courtesy of a pre-seeding model that has been agreed upon before the start of the tournament.
