Arsenal all set to sign Oleksandr Zinchenko from Manchester City
Arsenal FC have reached full agreement with Man City to sign their left-back Oleksandr Zinchenko.
Premier League side Arsenal FC have reached full agreement with Manchester City for the signing of the new left-back named Oleksandr Zinchenko. The deal between the clubs was agreed on Monday night according to Italian football journalist named Fabrizio Romano.
The personal terms weren’t the issue as the player (Oleksandr Zinchenko) always wanted to join Arsenal this summer. It was player’s decison to leave the champions side (Manchester City). Pep Guardiola was looking for his replacement since the start of the summer transfer window and also have a priority player for the same position. Zinchenko used to play left-back for City but he can even play at midfield as he plays in very different positions when he plays for his country (Ukraine).
The Ukrainian defender wanted to leave the side as he wasn’t getting much game time under Pep Guardiola since the start of the last season. He played very well in the 2020/21 season when City lifted the Premier League trophy but was defeated in the UEFA Champions League final against Chelsea. Arsenal has done quite a great business this summer so far as the Ukrainian defender (Oleksandr Zinchenko) became their fifth signing of this summer after Gabriel Jesus from Manchester City and Fabio Vieira from Porto.
