India completed an all-round performance with the bowlers dismissing Pakistan for just 228 runs. After the batters played a significant hand in the first innings, the bowlers showed their class in the second innings. Here is a recap of the 2nd innings.
Indian pacers provide breakthroughs
After having the support of a massive total, the Indian bowlers quickly made inroads in the Pakistani line-up. Jasprit Bumrah set up Imam-ul-Haq with out-swingers on a good length and then bowled a fuller-length delivery to induce the outside edge. Shubman Gill took the catch at the first slip to dismiss Imam. The powerplay was dominated by the Indian fast bowlers who got assistance from seam and swing. Pakistan scored only 43 runs in the powerplay for the loss of one wicket.

Hardik Pandya took the wicket of number-one-ranked ODI batter, Babar Azam with an almost unplayable delivery. Shardul Thakur took the wicket of the Pakistani keeper, Mohammad Rizwan in the following over.
Kuldeep Yadav demolishes Pakistan’s batting lineup
Kuldeep Yadav dominated the game from the very first over he bowled. Kuldeep took five wickets. He had a catch dropped on his bowling in the first over. In the next over he took the wicket of Fakhar Zaman. He then dismissed Agha Salman who was earlier injured while playing a sweep shot. His next victim was Shadab Khan who was trying to play a lofted shot. Iftikhar Ahmed played a poor shot on a half-tracker delivery. Iftikhar’s shot went straight to Kuldeep who took a sensational catch and bowl. With the wicket of Faheem Ashraf, Kuldeep completed his 5-wicket haul.
Haris Rauf and Naseem Shah did not come to bat and Pakistan was defeated by India by a massive margin of 228 runs.
