ATP Tournaments

Two ATP clay court tournaments are scheduled in the week immediately preceding Roland-Garros. These are:

  1. Bitpanda Hamburg Open: The tournament will be held in Hamburg, Germany, and is a staple on the ATP calendar. It will feature a 32-player singles draw and a 16-team doubles draw starting from 18 May and ending on 24 May. The tournament also offers a massive prize pool of €2,158,560 and is an ATP 500 event offering 50p ranking points.
  2. Gonet Geneva Open: This event is slightly smaller than the previous one. It features a smaller draw of singles players (28 players) and 16 teams in doubles. The tournament is an ATP 250 event and offers €596,035 in prize money.

WTA Tournaments

Similar to ATP tournaments, WTA also offers two tournaments in the final week before heading to Roland-Garros.

  1. International de Strasbourg: It’s a prestigious WTA 500 event. The event is currently underway and will end on 23 May in Strasbourg, France. The total prize money is $1,064,510 and serves as a significant stop to prepare for the Grand Slam.
  2. Grand Prix Sar LA Princesse Lalla Meryem: As a WTA 250 event, it offers a total prize pool of $275,094. The tournament will end immediately before the French Open 2025.
