Former WWE star Baron Corbin could finally be on his way back to WWE after months away from the company. Reports recently suggested that the former United States Champion has been in talks regarding a possible return to the Stamford-based promotion.

Corbin was released back in November 2024 after spending more than 12 years with WWE. During his first run, he became one of the company’s most reliable stars and worked with top names like Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and Drew McIntyre.

Since leaving WWE, Corbin has continued wrestling on the independent scene under the Bishop Dyer name. However, many fans still want to see The Lone Wolf back on WWE television again.

If WWE decides to bring him back, there are several interesting directions the company could take with him.

Baron Corbin Could Challenge Oba Femi

One of the best comeback options for Baron Corbin could be answering Oba Femi’s open challenge on WWE RAW.

Oba Femi has become one of the fastest-rising stars in WWE after his dominant performances over the past few months. The powerhouse already defeated names like Otis and Los Garza during his recent open challenge series.

While Femi has looked unstoppable, fans now want stronger competition for him. This is where Corbin could fit perfectly.

The former King Corbin has the size, experience, and aggressive style needed to make the match feel important. Instead of another quick squash match, WWE could give fans a hard-hitting battle between two dominant superstars.

A feud with Oba Femi could instantly push Corbin back into the spotlight after his return.

Intercontinental Championship Could Be A Perfect Target

Another smart move would be placing Baron Corbin directly into the Intercontinental Championship picture.

According to recent WWE storylines, Penta has become one of the toughest champions on RAW. Several stars are already chasing the title, but Corbin could easily become one of the most dangerous challengers.

During his earlier WWE run, Corbin played the heel role extremely well. His serious Bishop Dyer character from the independent scene could make him feel fresh again if WWE decides to use it properly.

The biggest advantage here is the contrast in styles. Penta’s fast-paced lucha wrestling against Corbin’s heavy-hitting offense could create exciting matches for fans.

WWE also never gave Corbin a proper singles title run in recent years. Winning the Intercontinental Championship could finally give him the push many fans believe he deserved long ago.

The Vision Could Add A Dangerous New Member

One more interesting possibility is Baron Corbin joining The Vision faction on RAW.

The group led by Bron Breakker has quickly become one of WWE’s top heel factions. However, with injuries affecting the group recently, there could be room for another powerhouse member.

Corbin already shares history with Breakker from their time together in NXT, where they even held the NXT Tag Team Championships. That previous connection could make his addition feel natural instead of forced.

The Lone Wolf’s experience as a heel would also help strengthen the faction. WWE could use him as the group’s veteran enforcer while younger stars continue developing around him.

This move could completely refresh Corbin’s WWE career and finally give him stable long-term direction on television.
