BCCI announce India’s squad for T20I series against West Indies

Board of Control for Cricket in India announced the Indian squad for the upcoming T20I series against West Indies. BCCI posted the squad on the social media handles and their official website. Selectors have given chances to some young lads for this series.

India will be playing a 5-match T20I series against West Indies after the 3-match ODI series against them. BCCI have already announced the squad for the 3 ODIs. Shikhar Dhawan has been named captain for the ODIs and for T20Is Rohit will remain as skipper of team India.

The most talked about name nowadays ‘Virat Kohli’ is not picked by the selectors for both the T20Is and ODI series against West Indies. The former Indian cricket team skipper is said to have been rested for these series. India is currently playing the ODI series against England and the visitors are leading by 1-0.

Indian opener KL Rahul and spin bowler Kuldeep Yadav has been added in the squad for this T20Is but they are subject to fitness (as mentioned by BCCI).

Rohit Sharma (C), I Kishan, KL Rahul*, Suryakumar Yadav, D Hooda, S Iyer, D Karthik, R Pant, H Pandya, R Jadeja, Axar Patel, R Ashwin, R Bishnoi, Kuldeep Yadav*, B Kumar, Avesh Khan, Harshal Patel, Arshdeep Singh.

*Inclusion of KL Rahul & Kuldeep Yadav is subject to fitness.
