Benzema to be included in France squad for EUROs this year

The French coach Didier Deschamps has rewarded Benzema for his splendid performance with Real Madrid this season, despite Madrid ending second in the table.

Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema will be included in France’s squad for EURO in June, France Coach Didier Deschamps has informed the media.

Benzema, who has scored 29 goals for Real Madrid this season, has not played for Les Bleus since 2015 after the blackmailing scandal, over which he faces a preliminary inquiry in October.

French paper Le Parisien covered Tuesday that the 33-year-old would include in Deschamps’ 26-man crew for EURO this year.

The French coach is expected to present out the list of players today.
