A list of Afghanistan’s best bowlers test format is three mainly. After a meteoric rise through the associate ranks, Afghanistan was granted full membership and, subsequently, Test status at the International Cricket Council’s annual conference on June 22, 2017. A Test match is an international cricket match between two representative teams full of ICC members. The game can last up to five days and has two innings for each group. In June 2018, India and Afghanistan finished their first Test at the M. Chennai’s Chinnaswamy Stadium.

Let’s take a brief look at the Best Bowlers of Afghanistan as follows:

Rashid Khan

The success of Afghanistan in their early years of international cricket can be attributed to Rashid Khan, their first global celebrity. One of the best T20 bowlers ever, thanks to his incredibly full-leg spin, he is among the top candidates on teams’ wish lists in competitions worldwide.

In Afghanistan’s maiden year of Test cricket, Rashid contributed five second-inning wickets in their victory over Ireland. Six months later, in a remarkable win against Bangladesh in Chattogram, Rashid scored a crucial fifty, took two five-fours, and finished with 11 wickets. He scored 11 more in 2021, this time in a victory over Zimbabwe.

Gulbadin Naib

Afghanistan’s Gulbadin Naib plays cricket. Naib is an all-rounder who bowls right-arm fast-medium and bats right-handed. Before the 2019 Cricket World Cup, the Afghanistan Cricket Board replaced Asghar Afghan with Naib as the team’s new One Day International captain in April 2019. Cricket was not Gulbadin Naib’s first love in the realm of sports; it was amateur bodybuilding. When he finally picked up the sport, he advanced fast through Afghanistan’s age group sides as a batting all-rounder. He was the youngest player on the squad that won the Division Five tournament in 2008, which was the first step toward the complete international stage.

Rahmat Shah

Afghan cricketer Rahmat Shah Zurmatai competes for the country’s cricket squad. He bats right-handed and occasionally bowls leg breaks. In March 2013, he made his debut for Afghanistan on the world stage. Shah was chosen the team’s new Test captain in April 2019 by the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB), taking Asghar Afghan’s place. Rashid Khan, however, was appointed the new captain of the Afghanistan cricket team in all three forms following the 2019 Cricket World Cup. Rahmat was thus replaced before leading the side in a Test match.
