Get ready, BGMI fans, because something you’re favorite theme mode is coming to BGMI. KRAFTON India has just confirmed that Marvel’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day is coming to BGMI very soon. TBH this feels like our childhood has come back. Back in 2020, the Spiderman theme was coming to PUBG Mobile India and that was one of the best theme modes in PUBG/BGMI ever. Now he is coming back on July 30 and runs all the way to September 14, 2026. The perfect timing because the Spider-Man movie is also coming. It was one of the biggest gameplay changes BGMI has ever attempted. The whole map feels like New York city and you know the place where to hide; you will now be thinking about how fast you can swing, climb and jump across all the rooftops.
Erangel gets a whole new look
Some of the familiar places on Erangel are being torn down and rebuilt.
Gatka and Mansion areas players have battled over for years are being replaced by Skyline Plaza, a brand high-rise area built just for fighting up high.
You can expect to find rooftop platforms raised walkways and fast travel routes around.
There are also Skyline Ziplines in this zone that let you zip from one building to another without slowing down in the middle of a fight.
In this update the sky is basically the fighting ground.
The areas of Gatka and Mansion are gone to make way for Skyline Plaza.
Skyline Plaza has lots of features, for vertical fights.
Players will have to get used to fighting up in Erangel.
Spidey powers, real gameplay impact
Here’s where it gets fun. Two new items bring Spider-Man’s powers straight into your matches:
Peter Parkers Gloves are really cool because they let you swing from building to building fast. You can also use them to shoot webs at guys which slows them down and then traps them.
Peter Parkers Hoodie is great for getting. The Wall Climbing thing is awesome it lets you climb up buildings easily. The Spider Sense is, like a power that tells you when bad guys are near it can even see their footprints. With the Double Jump you can get to the top of buildings much faster than if you were just running and jumping like you used to do.
A whole story wrapped around the map
It’s not all shooting either. KRAFTON has packed in some genuinely cool story moments:
You can go into Peter Parkers apartment and look around for hidden surprises. There is a Rescue Photo Zone where Spider-Man comes to save a player who is falling. Then you get a fun photo. The Train Rescue Sequence is, like a movie it shows one of Spider-Mans famous hero moments. And there is a place called the Cemetery Tribute Zone where you might see Spider-Man he is hiding there as a little surprise. Spider-Man is waiting for you in this zone.
WOW Mode gets a spidey makeover too
Outside of the Classic matches in Battlegrounds Mobile India there is a new mode called WOW Mode and it is getting its very own Spider-Man experience. This experience does not need you to do any shooting. It is about exploring the city. You can swing across the city freely. You can also do parkour-style challenges on rooftops. You can complete missions for Spider-Man. Get rewards. This is how KRAFTON is showing that Battle Grounds Mobile India can be more than a battle royale game.
You should remember the date when Spider-Man: Brand New Day is coming to Battle Grounds Mobile India. It is going to be part of the 4.5 update. Spider-Man: Brand New Day will be available from July 30 to September 14 2026, in BattleGrounds Mobile India.
