Big Bash League 2022-23: The Squad of Melbourne Stars

The Melbourne Stars, also known as “Team Green” are said to compete in the Big Bash League. Just like the Melbourne Renegades, this team is also based in Melbourne, Australia due to  Cricket Australia’s decision of placing two teams in Melbourne, since its formation in 2011. Further, this team is sponsored by Nike, Aussie Broadband, MG and Ritchie Bros. And, they are right now under the training of coach David Hussey. Moreover, the team is said to have had numerous legendary captains in the past, but at present they are led by captain Glenn Maxwell. 

According to reports, the team has been unsuccessful in registering a BBL title to their names as of now. But they have managed to achieve the runners-up position three times, and that was in 2015- 16, 2018- 19 and 2019- 20. Furthermore, this team is said to set a record by scoring the highest score of 154 against Hobart Hurricanes. The team is said to face Sydney Thunder on 13 December 2022 in their opening match of this season.
