The Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series (BMPS) 2026 has finally started, and Krafton India has now revealed all 64 invited teams along with their complete player lineups. The tournament began on May 6 and will continue until the Grand Finals in Jaipur later in June.
This year’s BMPS is looking bigger and tougher than ever. Only the best BGMI teams in India earned a place in the competition. Unlike previous years, there were no open qualifiers this time. Every squad qualified through their performances in earlier official tournaments.
BMPS 2026 Brings Higher Competition
BMPS has reduced the total number of teams from 96 to 64 this season. Because of this, every match will be more important. Teams will need consistent performances to survive through every stage.
The tournament also features a massive prize pool of ₹2 crore. Reports suggest the amount could increase later through community support events. Along with the prize money, teams are also fighting for a place at the Esports World Cup 2026 in Riyadh.
BMPS 2026 Format Explained
All 64 teams started from the Qualifiers stage. Teams are divided into four groups with 16 teams in each group. After every round, teams can move up or down through the promotion and relegation system.
This format makes BMPS different from many other BGMI events. One bad round can hurt even the strongest teams.
After the Qualifiers:
- Top 8 teams from Group A directly qualify for Grand Finals
- Other teams move to Survival and Semifinals stages
- Lowest teams get eliminated
The Grand Finals will happen from June 19 to June 21 in Jaipur. Sixteen teams will battle across 18 matches for the championship trophy.
Top Teams To Watch In BMPS 2026
Team Soul
Team Soul enters BMPS as one of the strongest teams in India. The lineup includes Nakul, Goblin, Joker, Legit, and Thunder. The squad has shown excellent teamwork throughout the last year.
Team Apex Gaming
This is easily one of the most talked-about teams in the tournament. Jonathan recently left GodLike Esports and created his own team called Team Apex Gaming. The roster features Jonathan, Jelly, Hydro, KioLmao, and Harsh.
Fans are excited to see how this new lineup performs in its first major official event.
GodLike Esports
GodLike has rebuilt its roster after Jonathan’s departure. The new lineup includes Manya, Admino, Spower, Saumay, and GodZ. Even with changes, the organization remains one of the biggest names in Indian BGMI.
Orangutan
Orangutan continues to stay among the top BGMI teams in the country. Their experienced lineup includes Aaru, AK, Wizzgod, Attanki, and Prem. The team has performed strongly in several tournaments recently.
Genesis Esports
Genesis Esports is another dangerous squad this season. Gravity, HunterZ, Viper, Fury, and ZAP have already shown their skills in earlier events and will look to continue their strong form in BMPS.
Why BMPS 2026 Is Special
This tournament is not only about prize money. It is also about proving which team is the best in India right now.
The promotion and relegation system makes every single match important. Teams cannot depend on one good day. Consistency will decide who survives.
Another exciting factor is the battle for the Esports World Cup slot. Indian teams now have a bigger chance to compete internationally, which increases the pressure and excitement.
