Borussia Dortmund wins DFB Pokal Final against RB Leipzig by 4-1 and lifts the German Cup
Borussia Dortmund have now won the German Cup five times.
Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho and Erling Haaland both scored brace two goals a set to thrash RB Leipzig 4-1 to lift the German Cup at the Olympiastadion in Berlin.
Jadon Sancho looped a superb shot into the top corner in the fifth minute and scored another with a swift break on the blow of half-time after Haaland, back from injury, also flicked the ball towards goal. And it passed keeper Peter Gulacsi into the net.

Dani Olmo in the 71st minute for RB Leipzig ejected a late attempt for a comeback, picking up a goal back with a thundering hit. Then Sancho who is about to leave the club at end of the season missed a glorious chance to get his hat-trick in the match but Norway international Haaland, also a transfer target for big clubs, scored his second goal.
Dortmund has now won the competition five times, and first since 2017, while Leipzig missed out again on winning their first German Cup triumph.
The result never looked in doubt after Dortmund scored three times in an astonishing first-half performance. Julian Nagelsmann, who is taking charge of Bayern Munich next season, and this defeat can make Bayern fans a little worried. Julian Nagelsmann’s men lacked the clinical finishing of Erling Haaland and Jadon Sancho, and it made the difference in the final.
