Brentford took the lead after earning a Penalty as Ivan Toney was fouled in the box by Marçal. As a result, in the 28th minute Ivan Toney converts the penalty as he finds the bottom right corner and sends Wolves Goalkeeper José Sá the wrong way.

However, six minutes later, in the 34th minute, The Bees double their lead as the 22-year-old Bryan Mbeumo scores his first Premier League goal with an assist by Ivan Toney as he passed the ball across the box.

Hence, by half-time, The Bees were leading by 2 – 0.

Whereas, Wolverhampton Wanderers F.C. had got more ball possession after half-time and had many chances to equal the scorecard but missed it by small margins.

For the visitors, they were down to 10 men in the 64th minute as Shandon Baptiste was shown a second yellow card of the day for his tackle on Trincão.

As a result, the full-time score read Wolves 0 – 2 Brentford.
