Just before WWE RAW, Triple H took to his social media platforms to confirm a legendary superstar’s return match at this weekend’s Clash in Italy 2026. On Sunday, fans will get to see none other than Brock Lesnar, who they thought was retired for good at WrestleMania 42, take on Oba Femi once again in a rematch.
Brock Lesnar’s shocking return on last week monday night RAW, where he destroyed Oba Femi, left all fans in shock at what they saw because Brock retired from the WWE, and fans think it’s officially the end of the era of Brock Lesnar. Also, Lesnar cut the promo backstage, where he described himself as a humble “retired” beast.
Brock said that he was not satisfied with his performance at Mania last month and that he was now motivated to exact revenge on Oba. Also, Triple H announced the biggest match of Clash in Italy, 2026.
Gunther Wants To Retire Brock Lesnar In The WWE
In modern WWE, Gunther called himself a legend killer by retiring legends like Goldberg, John Cena, and last summer’s Slam AJ Styles. In his recent interview, Gunther said that he could beat Brock Lesnar. However, he added that for now, I’m fully focused on Cody Rhodes’ WWE Undisputed Championship.
“I wasn’t even there on that day at Mania, because it was the day after me, when a lot of it happened with Brock, so I only saw it in a headline and that’s literally all the info I had. Obviously he’s back now, but I haven’t thought about it. I’m really focused on what I’m doing with Cody now. I will be challenging for the WWE Undisputed Championship in Italy, and that’s my full focus right now. After I beat Cody then Brock can challenge me, and we’ll do that.”
Lesnar and Gunther are no strangers to one another, having had a much-talked-about face-off during the 2023 Men’s Royal Rumble match. But WWE never exploited it at the time, and the two men have not yet crossed paths in the ring.
