Can Rajasthan Royals make it through the Playoffs without Ben Stokes?

Ben Stokes is out of IPL 2021 with a broken left finger.

Rajasthan Royals suffered a major blow on Tuesday after all-rounder Ben Stokes was ruled out of IPL 2021 with a broken finger. The English all-rounder injured himself while taking a catch to dismiss Chris Gayle during a match against the Punjab Kings on Monday.

Rajasthan Royals have been already hampered by the absence of pacer Jofra Archer, who was ruled out of IPL 2021 due to an elbow injury. Now Ben Stokes’ ouster has created a mess for the RR management.

The team is in search of the all-rounder who can fill in the boots of Stokes, Hopefully, Sri Lanka All-rounder Thisara Perera is the no.1 contender to replace stokes in the upcoming matches.

Thisara Perera is in absolutely great shape, as the all-rounder recently hit 6 sixes in 6 balls in a club game. His experience can be beneficial for the team.

Chris Morris is another all-rounder present in the team, the expectations on him are too high as he was brought for whopping 16.25 Crores making him the most expensive cricketer in the history of IPL auctions. Today the way he finished the game against Delhi Capitals, he can change the game out nowhere.

If we talk about Batting, how can we forget about Pinch Hitters in the form of Australian duo Marnus  Labuschagne & Aaron Finch, Both the batsmen have the ability to change the game from any point.

Recently signed Alex Hales too is ready to set up his benchmark as he’s one of the furious stars of the game. His recent performance in BBL has created a lot of buzzes as he finished as the tournament’s leading run-scorer with 543 runs for Sydney Thunder.

New Zealand Batsman Devon Convey who was brought for INR 50 Lakhs, can be beneficial for the team as he’s the first New Zealand batsman to make five consecutive 50-plus scores in T20 cricket. If he gets settled on the crease nothing can stop him from winning the game.

Well, today’s difficult win of Rajasthan Royals against Delhi Capitals will make them think to change the strategy as the top order has failed to perform as per the expectations, we can see various replacements in the upcoming games.

Also, there are chances of Jofra Archer being there as several reports of him being fit to join the team coming in.

Therefore, It is very earlier to assume if the RR is going to make it to the playoffs as they have got 12 more games which can change their destiny. But still, there are some changes they might or are willing to do in the upcoming games.
