The chase-master, the run-machine, King Kohli once again proved why he is hailed so highly. Virat Kohli smashed records with his unbeaten century and 84 in successful chases against India’s arch-rivals, teams he’s consistently performed well against.

4. Shreyas Iyer: 8/10:

Iyer was consistent with key knocks of 45 and 48 in the knockouts. While he played well, India needed him to finish one chase. Once he does, he’ll be a game-changer.

5. Shubman Gill: 7.5/10:

Gill’s unbeaten century against Bangladesh boosted his stats, and he performed well in key matches. However, he lacked a truly memorable innings.

6. Axar Patel: 8/10:

M: 5 | 109 runs at 27.25, SR 74, HS: 42 | 5 wickets at 39.20, Ec 4.35, BBI: 2-43

Axar excelled batting at No. 5, showcasing his skill against spin and breaking the top order’s right-handed dominance. His impressive economy rate of 4.35 over 45 overs highlights his efficiency with the ball.

7. Ravindra Jadeja: 7/10:

Star Indian cricketer Ravindra Jadeja once again stole the show with his all-around skills. His bowling was effective, with figures close to Axar’s despite bowling fewer overs. As a batter at No. 8, he played more of an emergency role, which wasn’t fully utilized but could be in the future.

8. Hardik Pandya: 6/10:

The sensational Hardik Pandya stepped up as the second seamer in the last three games and provided decent support. With the bat, his most impactful knock was a 24-ball 28, including consecutive sixes off Adam Zampa in the semi-final.

9. Mohammed Shami: 7/10:

After doubts about his future, Shami proved his worth with a standout performance, taking five wickets against Bangladesh and three more in the semi-final, even on a pitch favoring spinners.

10. Kuldeep Yadav: 8/10:

Kuldeep was consistent throughout, with his key performance in the final, taking two quick wickets—Rachin Ravindra and Kane Williamson—helping India turn the match in their favor.

11. Harshit Rana: 6/10:

M: 2 | 4 wickets at 15.25, Ec 3.79, BBI: 3-31

Rana impressed with figures of 3-31 and 1-30 but was unfortunately dropped due to India having a stronger option. His time will come.

12. Varun Chakravarthy: 9/10

Varun proved his worth after a last-minute inclusion, taking key wickets, including a first-ball dismissal of Travis Head. He troubled New Zealand’s batters and delivered a match-winning performance with a 5-wicket haul.
