Supercell just did something nobody really saw coming they actually pushed a proper Builder Base update for Clash of Clans. Like a real one. If you’ve been playing for a while, you know the Builder Base has basically been sitting on the back burner for years, so this caught a lot of people off guard in the best way.

The headline addition is the B.O.T.O Shack, a brand new builder exclusively for the Builder Base. Think of it as a tiny robot that looks suspiciously similar to the O.T.T.O., except this little guy calls your Builder Base home permanently. Once you place it, it gets straight to work no hand-holding required. Having an extra builder over there is honestly a bigger deal than it sounds, especially if you’ve been stuck waiting on a single builder to crawl through upgrades one by one.

So how do you actually get it? It’s not too complicated, but there are a couple of boxes you need to tick first. Your Builder Hall needs to be at least level 2, which most active players already have covered. The bigger requirement is that you need all five regular Builder Huts unlocked in your main Home Village. Once both of those conditions are met, head into the in-game shop and you can buy the B.O.T.O Shack with Gems. That’s really it. Place the building, and your new robot buddy immediately starts pulling his weight.

Now the real question is it actually worth spending your gems on? Honestly, it depends on where you’re at in the game. If you’re a newer player or somewhere in the mid-game still actively building up your Builder Base, this is a solid investment. Cutting down upgrade wait times when you’ve got a full queue is genuinely satisfying, and having two builders working simultaneously over there makes progression feel way less painful.

That said, if you’re already maxed out at Builder Hall 10, there’s not much point right now. You’ve got nothing left to build, so the B.O.T.O just sits there looking cute and doing absolutely nothing. In that case, hold onto your Gems and put them toward the Apprentice Builder instead way more useful across the board.

One thing worth noting though B.O.T.O is strictly a Builder Base thing. Don’t expect it to pop over and help with your Home Village upgrades. It stays in its lane. So if your main focus is the Home Village, this probably isn’t your priority purchase.

Bottom line if your Builder Base still has room to grow, the B.O.T.O Shack is worth it. Just make sure you’re actually keeping it busy once you place it. An idle builder is basically just a very expensive decoration.
