Copa Del Rey Semi-final Barcelona vs Atletico Madrid
The second leg of the Copa Del Rey tie will be a power packed affair in the Wanda Metropolitano. The 1st leg was an 8 goal affair in which the winner and loser could not be distinguished but this match will bring a winner for sure even if it comes to penalties in the end.
In what has been an amazing season series, these two will face off for the fourth and final time. Their previous three encounters are among the top games in Spanish football this year. Barcelona- After losing 2-1 to Atletico Madrid at home in December, the Blaugrana have gone 20 games without a loss in all competitions (W17, D3).
Barcelona presently lead La Liga, are in the quarterfinals of the Champions League, and are one win away from making it to their first Copa del Rey final since winning it in 2020–21.
After the international break, Hansi Flick’s team has already won two games at home. They defeated Osasuna 3-0 in their rescheduled encounter and easily defeated Catalan rivals Girona 4-1 on Sunday thanks to goals from Robert Lewandowski, Ferran Torres, and Ladislav Krejci.
Atletico Madrid- Diego Simeone’s team lost 2-1 on the road to Real Madrid in the Champions League and Getafe in La Liga to start a challenging run of results.
Even though they defeated Los Blancos 1-0 in the second leg of their matchup in the European quarterfinals, they lost on penalties to terminate their Champions League campaign.

After losing 4-2 at home against league leaders Barcelona after giving up a two-goal lead, they returned from the international break with a 1-1 draw against Espanyol on Saturday.
