On Monday night, 15th August Liverpool FC played their second Premier League game against Crystal Palace. This was the last game of the matchweek 2. Liverpool couldn’t secure a victory in this. The host could only earn one point from this game thanks to Luis Diaz emphatic equalising goal which came in the second half.

Liverpool FC was trailing in the first half by 1-0 when Wilfred Zaha gave visitors the lead. Liverpool had a major setback in the second half when Nunez was shown a red card by referee for misbehaving on the pitch. Nunez hit Joachim Anderson’s face in the 56th minute. This was not a good conduct from Nunez as their manager Jurgen Klopp believes the same. Nunez was suspended for this behaviour and won’t be available for the game against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Monday.

After this incident, forward Darwin Nunez apologised to the Liverpool fans as he posted his picture on his official Instagram handle with a sorry in the caption.

“I am aware of the ugly attitude I had. I will learn from my mistakes and it won’t happen again. Apologies to Liverpool, I’ll be back,” tweeted Darwin Nunez (translated) on his official Twitter handle.
