Depay clears the air surrounding his possible move to Barcelona

The Dutchman has made a clear statement regarding his possible move to Barcelona, will leave Lyon next month when his contract expires.

Barcelona target Memphis Depay has affirmed he is leaving Ligue 1 goliaths Lyon when his agreement lapses one month from now.

The Dutch national looks sure to be brought at the Camp Nou this mid-year with the Catalans following him since January as a free-transfer deal.

Depay has taken a stand in opposition to his goals in the months ahead, with a choice on his future expected to be affirmed before the beginning of the European Championships in June.

Depay posted this message on his Twitter account which affirmed all the speculations going around his future.

Despite the club’s choice over Koeman, there is a developing requirement for a possible signing to be set up, if Lionel Messi rejects their proposal of an agreement expansion in the coming weeks.

In the message, Depay has told that he will proceed forward with his team of lawyers and representatives and he will make a formal announcement in the coming days.

In the meantime, Barcelona’s main issue will be to convince Lionel Messi to extend his contract and stay at Camp Nou.
