The Doha leg of the 2025 Diamond League series took place on May 16 (Friday) at the Qatar Sports Club. Several Olympic and world champions featured in the Doha meeting.
Tokyo 2020 Olympic champion and reigning silver medallist Neeraj Chopra breached the 90m mark for the first time ever, by achieving a 90.23m in the first throw. His joy was short lived as Germany’s Julian Weber threw a 91.06m in the final round.
On the track, 20-year-old twins Tia and Tina Clayton went one-two on the women’s 100m podium at the Diamond League meet in the Qatari capital.
Letsile Tebogo made his debut at the Doha Diamond League on a winning note, crossing the finish line of 200m event in a time of 20.10.
