In their most recent four-match Twenty20 series, England overpowered Pakistan and won 2-0. Even though rain cancelled two games, England’s performance in the two that were played showed their strength ahead of the T20 World Cup.

Dominant Bowling Sets the Stage

The success of England was mainly due to their bowlers. They restricted Pakistan to a low total in their second Twenty20 International at Edgbaston, which allowed them to win easily by 23 runs. Another outstanding bowling performance took place in the final game at The Oval, as England bowled Pakistan out for 157. A pivotal moment occurred when Jofra Archer dismissed Pakistan captain Babar Azam with the last ball of the powerplay. Adil Rashid won Player of the Match for his economical spell with his leg-spin excellence.

England bats when needed

There were moments of brilliance from England’s batters, despite delays caused by rain. Phil Salt made a remarkable knock of 45 in the last Twenty20 International. Jos Buttler was properly named Player of the Series after maintaining a sharp appearance throughout the series.
