The Chennai Fans are pretty much sad over the fact that the former South African skipper Faf du Plessis won’t be playing for the Chennai Super Kings anymore. Faf has been a part of the team since a decade and now there is a break in his CSK journey. Chennai Super Kings’ official Twitter account uploaded a video of former South African captain Faf Du Plessis praising the club for allowing him to serve for over ten years. Faf has now left the Chennai franchise after being purchased by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) for Rs 7 crores on Day 1 of the IPL Auction 2022.

“Thank you to Chennai, the fans, the staff, the management, and the players for what has been a decade with one club,” Faf stated in a video uploaded by the Chennai Super Kings official Twitter account. I’ve had a terrific experience there, and I’ll miss everyone, but when one door shuts, a new one opens up, bringing with it new prospects. I’m thrilled to see what the future brings, so thank you very much from myself and my family.”

The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) may have found their skipper by bidding on Faf Du Plessis during the auction. After Virat Kohli stood down as captain, they made sure to locate a player who could fill his shoes. The 37-year-old has been a member of the Chennai Super Kings since 2011 and is scheduled to face them in this year’s IPL.
