Indian cricket team former coach Ravi Shastri was in all praise for the Indian pace bowler Jasprit Bumrah. Jasprit Bumrah played some amazing shots in the last rescheduled Test match against England at Edgbaston on Saturday. After some wickets early on day 2, Jasprit Bumrah came onto the pitch to bat.

Indian skipper Jasprit Bumrah scored 31 runs in just 16 balls. The pacer hit 4 boundaries and 2 sixes in his short explosive inning. It was some marvellous display of batting by a star Indian pace bowler. The Indian team post a total of 416 runs on the board in the first innings thanks to Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja who scored individual centuries. Jadeja was dismissed early on day 2 by James Anderson. After Bumrah came Stuart Board was brought in to bowl some bouncers to him. But he played amazingly to the most experienced bowler of England and also hit him 29-run in an over.

“29 off the over; the bowler the same, who Yuvraj hit for six sixes, Stuart Broad, going for that many (in 2007 Men’s T20 World Cup, South Africa). What I saw today was something absolutely bizarre. Jasprit Bumrah breaking the world record of getting 29 off his bat in a 35 run over,” said Ravi Shastri in a video posted by BCCI on their official Twitter account.
