Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s IPL 2026 has been a season to remember for the 15-year-old, as he made and broke several milestones in this season. In IPL 2026 Qualifier 2, which was held at New Chandigarh Stadium, Vaibhav produced a crucial knock of 96 runs in 47 balls with a strike rate of 204.26, hitting 7 sixes and 8 fours. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi scored 776 runs throughout the season and has been the leading run-scorer for Rajasthan in the IPL 2026 season.

He was about to hit the third century of his career, but fell short by 4 runs. His innings was very crucial for Rajasthan Royals to reach a total of 214 runs and make a competitive total in the semi-finals, but Gujarat Titans chased the target easily in 19 overs and won the match by 7 wickets.  RR’s blockbuster season came to an end as the Gujarat Titans will face RCB in the IPL 2026 finals on 31st May 2026, at Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium, Ahmedabad.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi set a benchmark that is difficult for any batter to match, as he made himself listed among the fastest to 1000 runs in the IPL in just 23 innings, in IPL 2025 season where 13 year old batter made a debut match on april 19th 2025, and scored 252 runs in 2025 season, In IPL 2026 Sooryavanshi scored 776 runs in 16 matches, players like Shaun Marsh made this record in 21 innings,  Lendl Simmons stands at number 2 with 23 innings, and Vaibhav stands at number three alongside Simmons, Devon Conway has surpassed 1000 runs mark in just 24 innings, Australian Legendary batter Matthew Hayden took 25 innings to reach to this mark and, Young Indian Cricketer Sai Sudharsan has also took 25 innings to get himself parllel to Mathhew Hayden’s record.
