GT vs RR, Qualifier-2 of IPL 2026, began with  RR’s batting first and set the target of 215 for Titans and according to a qualifier match it was a great total as an above 200+ score at this stage can lead Gujarat into pressure, but Shubhman Gill and Sai Sudharsan were in a different form today, as Shubhman broke many records in this match and Sai Sudharsan played an anchoring knock and later in the death overs Rahul Tewatia made an easy chase for GT,

With a six on the 4th ball of the 19th over, the Titans finished the game in style and entered their 3rd IPL final. GT will face RCB on 31st May 2026  at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. The stakes are high as defending champions Royal Challengers Bangalore will give their best, and the Gujarat Titans are in great form and will look forward to locking their second title of the Indian Premier League.  

GT vs RR: Shubhman Gill’s Century Powers Gujarat Titans Into IPL 2026 Final After Dominant Chase Against Rajasthan Royals 

GT vs RR, IPL 2026, Qualifier-2, second innings, Gujarat Titans following the target of 215, the innings started with a blistering 1st over for Titans of 19 runs. Both Gill and Sudharsan took control from the 1st ball. 12 runs came from the second over, Shubhman and Sai both attacked very well, and were able to score 69 runs from the powerplay. Shubhman Gill scored 29* runs in 19 balls, and Sai Sudharsan contributed 30* runs in 17 balls. 

GT vs RR, middle overs phase one of 7th to 11th overs, started with the same attitude and aggression as 10 runs came from the 7th over, 12 runs from the 8th over where Sai Sudharshan attacked Yash Raj Punja well by hitting 2 fours to him, a big over for GT came in the 9th over where Gill took Deshapande’s bowling to the boundaries scoring 17 runs from that over, on the 5th ball Gill completed his half-century, 

19 runs came from Jadeja’s over, where Gill hit two sixes to Jadeja and a four, in 10.1 overs. Sai Sudharshan also completed his half-ton, and Gujarat Titans were looking fearless, and at the end of the 11th over, they were at 144/0, Shubhman Gill 81*(39) and Sai Sudharshan 51*(27). 

GT vs RR, middle overs phase one of 12th to 16th overs, Nandre Burger’s over conceded 12 runs, in the 13th over first breakthrough for Royals came in the form of Sai Sudharsan’s wicket as he was scoring runs fearlessly, his 58(32) helped GT to get a great kick-start and get GT near the target, and he was hit wicket twice in a row for the second time in back-to-back games, luck isn’t with Sai Sudharsan since the last game, but Gujarat Titans didn’t restrict their aggressive attitude, 

and kept on attacking Rajasthan Royals’ bowlers, Shubhman Gill broke many records in this innings, scoring a ton in style he reached the score of 100* in just 47 deliveries, Jofra Archer in the 15th over took captain Gill’s wicket and made him lbw on a full-length delivery, Shubhman Gill scored valuable 104 runs with a strike rate of 196, at the end of the 16th over 189/2, Washington Sundar 5*(4) and Jos Buttler 8*(7). 

GT vs RR, death overs: started well for Gujarat Titans, with 12 runs coming from the 17th over. Still, the 3rd breakthrough for the Royals came on the 1st ball of the 18th over, when Washington Sundar got out after scoring 16 runs in 9 balls, Donovan Ferreira took a high catch. Still, the breakthrough wasn’t enough for the Royals to come back in the game. 

In the 19th over, Rahul Tewatia hit back-to-back fours to Brijesh Sharma and took the Titans to the target. With a six on the 4th ball of the 19th over, the high-pressure contest ended with a six, and the Titans entered their third final in IPL history.
