GTA 6 will be set in the modern world, and that means social media will play a big role in the game. The first trailer already showed short clips, posts, likes, and comments, proving that Rockstar Games is bringing this element into the story.

But what kind of features could these social media apps have? Here are some interesting ideas that fans expect from GTA 6.

1) Real-time chatting with characters

In GTA 5, players could only read texts and emails. GTA 6 should make this more exciting by adding live chats. Imagine sending a message to any in-game character and getting instant replies. Players could also share pictures or posts, and characters would respond in unique ways. This would make the game feel more alive and interactive.

2) Missions linked to social media

Just like GTA 5 had the Lifeinvader mission, GTA 6 could expand this idea with full social media-based missions. Some missions could involve stopping fake news, boosting an influencer’s profile, or even taking down online scams. These missions could be funny, intense, or even expose the dark side of social media culture.

3) Hidden easter eggs from older games

Rockstar is famous for planting hidden details in its titles. Social media in GTA 6 could include easter eggs from previous games like GTA San Andreas, Vice City, or GTA 4. Maybe old characters posting comments, or news about events from Liberty City or Los Santos appearing online. This would be a fun nod for long-time fans.

4) Parody influencers and celebrities

GTA has always poked fun at real life, and social media is the perfect place to do it. The game could feature parodies of famous internet personalities and pop stars. Fake versions of popular YouTubers, rappers, or streamers could appear, adding humor and realism to the game world.

5) Social media shaping character relationships

One unique feature would be how social media affects relationships in the story. A like, a comment, or even a viral post could change how characters behave with each other. For example, Lucia and Jason’s bond could be tested if one of them posts something controversial online. This would make social media a central part of the plot, not just a background feature.
