Zimbabwe was 142 for 4, still trailing by 158 runs, when Madhevere came in to join Sikandar Raza at the crease. The two batsmen managed to settle things down and took Zimbabwe past 200 runs.

But just when things were looking good for Zimbabwe, Harry Brook pulled off a stunning catch in the slips to get rid of Madhevere. It was a brilliant moment that gave England the breakthrough they needed.

On the fourth ball of the 48th over, England captain Ben Stokes bowled a short delivery just outside off stump. The ball rose sharply, catching Wessly Madhevere off guard. He tried to play it but ended up edging it toward the slips.

Madhevere was dismissed for 31 runs off 36 balls, hitting 4 boundaries during his stay.

At the time of writing, Zimbabwe were 222 for 6. They still need 78 more runs to make England bat again. Sikandar Raza was not out on 50, and it’s up to him to help Zimbabwe avoid losing by an innings.

Earlier in the match, England scored a massive 565 for 6 before declaring their innings. Ollie Pope, Zak Crawley, and Ben Duckett all scored centuries, and Harry Brook added a half-century. In reply, Zimbabwe were bowled out for 265 in their first innings and had to follow on.
