Hazard could face Chelsea in the Champions Clash: Zinedine Zidane
The Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has confirmed that Eden Hazard is fit and will face his former club Chelsea on Tuesday. Hazard last appeared on 13th March against Elche in a 2-1 victory for Real Madrid.
The former Chelsea man has only scored three goals in 25 appearances for Real Madrid and has failed to find his form in the last two seasons at Real Madrid. Hazard came to Real from Chelsea with a huge transfer fee of $100 million. He was supposed to fill the position of Ronaldo at the left-wing. The class Hazard showed at Chelsea was enough to make fans believe that he can be the replacement of Ronaldo at Real Madrid. With Chelsea Hazard won two Europa Leagues, two Premier Leagues, and one FA cup title. After seven seasons at Stamford Bridge, he moved to Real Madrid. Hazard’s last goal came against Alaves on 23rd January.
Zidane confirmed that Hazard is fit and will be available against Real Betis on Sunday. “He is feeling very better and he is ready,” said Zidane. “He wants to be back more than anyone else”.
Along with Hazard, Thibaut Courtois and Mateo Kovacic will line up against their former clubs.
