Indian opening batter Shubman Gill met with this former Indian cricketer and said he has praised him. Shubman Gill talked with Yuvraj Singh before Zimbabwe’s tour. Former Indian batter Yuvraj Singh praised Shubman Gill’s batting (as per Shubman Gill’s latest interview). Former Indian batter (Yuvraj Singh) does meet young players to give him some advice.

“I just met him before coming to Zimbabwe and he just told me that you’re batting well and just go there and when you’re set, look to bat through. I was telling him ‘100 nahi aa raha’ (I’m not getting hundred). And his reply was ‘Don’t worry, it’ll come’,” Shubman Gill said in a video uploaded by BCCI.

Indian opening batter Shubman Gill is amazing this year and batting like an experienced batter. Shubman Gill started opening the innings with Shikhar Dhawan in the series against West Indies. Shubman Gill was mostly playing Test for India but now seeing his batting stats in blue jersey, he can be one of the regular starters in ODIs as well.

Shubman Gill also scored his maiden ODI century for India in the recent series against Zimbabwe while opening the innings. In the third and the last ODI against Zimbabwe, Shubman Gill scored his first century and helped India clean sweep Zimbabwe in this series.
