Heath Slater turns down comeback offer of the WWE
Slater still angry with the WWE.
During a recent appearance on The Angle Podcast, former SmackDown Tag Team Champion Heath Slater disclosed that WWE offered him a contract last year, but he turned it down because he wasn’t satisfied with the contract given.
He said “They offered me one back, but it was like half of what I was making. I was like, ‘Nah, I need to find myself and do other things and just chill. Just breathe and relax and spend time with the family. Just chill. I never burned any bridges up there, they all know me. I still talk to more than half the people.I was there for so long and we were friends. It’s no hard feelings. I told them, ‘I just want to go and do my thing for a little bit.’ They were like, ‘We don’t blame you, you get it.’ That was it.
Heath was released from WWE in April 2020 during the budget cuts due to COVID-19. He was one of the few superstars who was used on an episode of RAW after his release.
Slater debuted in the WWE with the NeXus group led by Wade Barret, didn’t got many chances to prove himself.
