Delhi Capitals’ head coach Ricky Ponting feels one player in the Indian cricket team will be the ‘player to watch out for in the upcoming T20I world Cup’. India is currently playing a 5-match Test series against South Africa and is trailing by 1-0 after the visitors defeated Rishabh Pant’s men on Thursday, 9th June.

It was an amazing performance from the visitors’ batters named David Miller and Rassie van der Dussen. Despite getting a defeat in the first game as captain for Rishabh Pant, Ricky Ponting trusts the wicket-keeper batter.

“Rishabh Pant offers a rare mixture of dynamism and daring that makes him an asset on India’s T20I side. He is just an outstanding young man who has got the world at his feet. He’ll be one of those players to watch out for in the T20 World Cup,” said Ricky Ponting on Rishabh Pant via ICC.

Former Australian cricket team captain Ricky Ponting believes in Rishabh Pant and thinks he can be one of the important players of the Indian cricket team in future. Skipper Pant will lead team India in the second T20I match against South Africa on Sunday, 12th June.
