Catches do, in fact, win matches! A dropped catch can cost a team the game. A spectacular catch taken to dismiss a set batsman, on the other hand, can win a team a match. Mahela Jayawardene leads the list of ODI fielders with the most catches. Jayawardene leads the field with 58 catches. Jayawardene is the only ODI cricketer in history to have more than 200 catches.
