How to Trigger the Clone Slasher Event
To make the Clone Slasher appear, players need to meet a few simple conditions. The event can only happen at night, and you must be in free roam mode. Here’s what you should keep in mind before waiting for the slasher to spawn:
- You must have been in the current session for at least 16 minutes.
- The event has a 15-minute cooldown if it already happened for you once.
- You should be outside and not inside any building or property.
- You need to be on foot or in a regular vehicle. Aircraft, boats, and weaponized vehicles won’t work.
- The in-game time must be between 1:00 AM and 5:00 AM.
Once these conditions are met, you’ll have a 50% chance of facing the Clone Slasher instead of any of the other types of slashers.
Where the Clone Slasher Can Spawn
Slashers appear in specific regions around Los Santos and Blaine County. The Clone Slasher can spawn in any of the regular slasher zones, but with only a 50% probability. The spawn locations for other slashers include:
- The Clown: Los Santo
- The Psycho: Tongva Hills, Vinewood Hills, Great Chaparral
- The Driver: Redwood Lights Track
- The SackSlasher: Northern Blaine County
If you get attacked by a regular slasher, don’t worry. You can switch sessions, wait for the cooldown, and try again until the Clone Slasher shows up.
How to Defeat the Clone Slasher
When the Clone Slasher spawns, it will instantly attack you using one of several melee weapons such as a baseball bat, machete, knife, flashlight, battle axe, or knuckle dusters.
Here are some useful tips to defeat it quickly:
- Keep your distance. Use a powerful weapon like a shotgun or rifle to stop it before it gets too close.
- Use cover. The Clone Slasher has a lot of health, so take cover and attack from a safe position.
- Explosives help, but not too much. The Clone Slasher can survive multiple explosions, but it can still be stunned by them, giving you a chance to shoot back.
- If you avoid it for more than five minutes, it will disappear automatically.
