Former UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya is set to return to the octagon this weekend. He will take on Joe Pyfer, who is riding a three-fight winning streak and is a product of the Dana White Contender Series.

On the flipside, Adesanya is riding a three-foght losing streak. The fight could prove to be a pivotal point in the career of the former champion, who is desperate to show that he belongs in the octagon.

For those unaware, Israel Adesanya is considered by many to be one of the greatest middleweights ever. He had an incredible seven-year run that saw him win the UFC middleweight title twice and successfully defend it five times. However, he hasn’t been at his best recently.

The losses have come in two championship bouts and a main event fight with top contender Nassourdine Imavov. Moreover, he’s 36 years old now, and it’s been a minute since we last saw a vintage “Stylebender” performance.

How to watch?

Globally, the event is set to be broadcast live via Paramount+ and will kick off on March 28th. In India, fans can tune in to Sony LIV to catch the action live from the comfort of their homes in the early hours of 29th March.
