‘I don’t think you’re okay,’ Jofra Archer slams Taslima Nasreen for her racist comment on Moeen Ali

Jofra Archer hits back at Taslima Nasreen for her racist comments on his teammate Moeen Ali.

England pacer Jofra Archer couldn’t keep calm as he engaged in a sharp worded argument with Bangladesh author Taslima Nasreen about her controversial tweet on Moeen Ali on Tuesday.

Taslima Nasreen, an author who writes mainly on women’s oppression and religion, tweeted her opinion on Moeen Ali saying that the England all-rounder would have been opted to be terrorist had he not stuck to cricket.

“If Moeen Ali were not stuck with cricket, he would have gone to Syria to join ISIS,” Taslima wrote in a tweet.

Archer was among the first ones to reply to the post and wondered if the author was alright. “Are you okay? I don’t think you’re okay,” Archer questioned while quoting Nasreen’s tweet.

However, Nasreen started defending her post saying it was obvious that she was just being sarcastic and her ‘haters’ used it against her.

“Haters know very well that my Moeen Ali tweet was sarcastic. But they made that an issue to humiliate me because I try to secularize Muslim society & I oppose Islamic fanaticism. One of the greatest tragedies of humankind is pro-women leftists support anti-women Islamists,” Nasreen posted another tweet in her defense.

Acrher again responded to the explanation and made sure to let everyone know that he did not buy the sarcastic remark.

“Sarcastic? No one is laughing, not even yourself, the least you can do is delete the tweet,” Archer responded.
