India lost the first T20I match against South Africa which was played at Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi on 9th June. Despite the loss, there was some positive to take for skipper Rishabh Pant and coach Rahul Dravid from the first game of the series.

Indian opening batter Ishan Kishan who got a chance as Rohit Sharma was given rest and KL Rahul had an injury scored a blistering 76* runs in 48 balls in this first T20I game against South Africa on Thursday. Ishan played some explosive shots as he hit 11 boundaries and 3 sixes in his inning. Ishan Kishan after the match addressed the media, where he talked about the things that need to be taken care of in the next matches. He also said how he can improve as a player by being in the team.

“I think they (Rohit Sharma & KL Rahul) are world-class players and I won’t ask for my spot when they are there in the team. My job here is to give my best in the practice session. Whenever I get my opportunity, I have to prove myself or do well for the team,” said Indian opener Ishan Kishan in the post-match interview.
