Shane Watson feels Joe Root can end up with the most runs in Test cricket and will overtake all those ex-cricketers on the list. Joe Root is in an exceptional run of form and not only this year but he keeps performing well for England in the Test cricket.
Joe Root’s batting is pure class as per the Former CSK opener (Shane Watson). England cricket team are currently playing a 3-match Test series against New Zealand. England have already won the series as they won the first two games easily. Former skipper Joe Root scored century in both the games he played in this series. Joe Root recently got past Sunil Gavaskar in most runs in Test cricket.
“I think Joe Root is going to finish on top as most Test runs, among all fab batters,” said Shane Watson via ICC official website.
In the first Test, England needed 277 runs and Joe Root single-handedly took England to victory. Root scored 115* runs and made a great partnership with skipper Ben Stokes to make England lead the series by 1-0. In the second Test, when New Zealand score more than 500 runs in the first innings, Joe Root’s 176 runs help them get close to this run.
