Indian cricket team opener Shikhar Dhawan has opened up about playing only a single format in Indian jersey. Shikhar Dhawan is an ODI format Indian batter who used to play T20Is and Test cricket. Shikhar was one of the important Indian batters who used to play every format in cricket like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah.

Now, Shikhar only plays ODI now and he feels there is nothing wrong in playing just a single format. He would love playing in every format as he does play IPL and that also with a high batting average. Shikhar Dhawan said he wants to do good for Indian team, doesn’t matter if he does in a single format or three formats.

“Till the time I am playing for India, I would like to be an asset and not a liability. If I am playing one format for India, I should try and make the most of it and give it my all. I am a very positive person. You won’t find a negative bone in my body,” said Shikhar Dhawan via PTI ahead of ODI series against Zimbabwe.

Shikhar Dhawan has done a great job in the recent ODI series where he was also named captain of the Indian cricket team.
