The Afghanistan team is playing its first ICC Champions Trophy tournament in 2025. In this tournament, Ibrahim Zadran created history by scoring a century in 106 balls against England. By scoring a century in this match, he became the first Afghanistan batsman to score a century in ICC Champions Trophy and World Cup history.
Ibrahim Zadran scored 177 runs in 146 balls with the help of 12 fours and 6 sixes, which is the highest innings played by any batsman in Champions Trophy history.

Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar scored the first century for India in the Champions Trophy. He scored 141 runs off 128 balls against Australia on 28 October 1998 in Dhaka. This innings included 13 fours and 3 sixes, leading India to a glorious victory.
1. Alastair Campbell (Zimbabwe) – 100 vs New Zealand (1998)
Alistair Campbell scored the first century for Zimbabwe in the ICC Champions Trophy. He scored 100 runs in 143 balls against New Zealand on 24 October 1998 in Dhaka. However, his innings could not make the team win.
