IL T20 is a T20 cricket tournament that takes place in the United Arab Emirates in 3 cities: Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi. The first edition of the tournament was supposed to be held in 2023 but it was rescheduled to January 2024 for unknown reasons. Six teams compete in the tournament for a total of 30 matches for almost a month for the title.
Till now, there have been 2 seasons and the third season is ongoing. The 2025 season started on 11 January 2025 and the finals are set to take place on 9 February 2025. MI Emirates are the defending champions of the tournament having won the previous season, after defeating Dubai Capitals.
The first edition was won by Gulf Giants who are Number 5 at the points table this season. Meanwhile, the defending champions have continued to show their supremacy even this season as they are placed Number 2 on the table. However, they are 3 wins behind from reaching first on the table.

Alexander Daniel Hales on 20 Jan 2023 against KnightRiders: The right-hand opening batter is an English cricketer. He hit the first century of the IL T20 while playing for his team, the Desert Vipers, with 7 fours and 6 sixes. He was awarded The Player of the Match for his record-breaking innings. He scored 110, which was the reason for his team’s victory. Hales was one of the most significant players in the T20 World Cup 2022 when his team, England, won the title. He is also the first English Batter to score a T20 century and holds the record for most individual runs in the same.
T Kohler-Cadmore on 21 Jan 2023 against Dubai Capitals: T Kohler-Cadmore is also a professional English right-handed batsman who scored a century just a day after the first century scored by Hales. He hit a total score of 106 runs in 47 balls with 10 fours and 6 sixes while playing for his team, Sharjah Warriors. He was later made the captain of the team in 2024. He holds the record for the highest individual score in the T20 Blast with 127 runs in 54 balls. He also won back-to-back Abu Dhabi T10 titles.

He is a Barbadian cricketer who plays as a wicketkeeper-batsman for the West Indies cricket team. He is regarded as one of the most valuable ODI batsmen in the cricket world. He has been named as Men’s Cricketer of the Year, Test Cricketer of the Year and the ODI Cricketer of the Year at the annual Cricket West Indies Awards.
