IND vs BAN: Mohammad Shami’s claw and Tauheed Hridya’s century saved Bangladesh’s honour, India was given a target of 229 runs

ICC Champions Trophy 2025 India vs Bangladesh Live: Bangladesh, playing first, has scored 228 runs in the Champions Trophy match against India. The India vs Bangladesh (IND vs BAN) match was played in Dubai, to win which Team India will now have to score 229 runs. Bangladesh could not score a very big score, but thanks to Towhid Hridoy’s century and Jaker Ali’s half-century, Bangladesh was able to reach a respectable score. Hridoy played a century innings of 100 runs.

Hriday and Ali saved the honour

Bangladesh captain Nazmul Hussain Shanto won the toss and chose to bat first. He probably did not think that the Indian bowlers would wreak havoc on him. In the very first over, Mohammad Shami dismissed Soumya Sarkar and in the second over, Harshit Rana dismissed captain Nazmul Hussain Shanto. Mehdi Hasan scored 5 runs and Mushfiqur Rahim was out without opening his account. The situation was such that half of the Bangladesh team had returned to the pavilion by the score of 35. After this, Tauheed Hridaya and Zakir Ali took charge and made a brilliant partnership of 154 runs. Rishad Hussain contributed 68 runs.

Akshar Patel was seen bowling lethally in the first over of his spell. He dismissed Tanjid Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim on two consecutive balls, but Rohit Sharma dropped the catch of Zakir Ali due to which Akshar could not complete his hat-trick. India’s fielding was so poor that apart from Rohit, Hardik Pandya also dropped a catch. At the same time, KL Rahul also failed in wicketkeeping and he also missed an important stumping.
