Ind vs Eng: Ravi Shastri tests positive, impact of it in the dressing room
The India Team Head Coach unfortunately tested positive for COVID-19. Everyone misses the management on Day 4 of the test
The India Team Head Coach Ravi Shastri, unfortunately, tested positive for COVID-19 after taking the lateral flow test.
In a decision taken by the BCCI medical team, Ravi Shastri has been isolated. Identified as his close contacts, bowling coach Bharat Arun, fielding coach R Sridhar, and physiotherapist Nitin Patel too will be isolated.
This, unfortunately, took place right before India vs England test match yesterday. Thankfully, the Playing XI for the team were all negative and that’s why the match had taken place.
Amidst this, of course, everyone in the dressing room was tensed.
India batting coach Vikram Rathour on Sunday said the team was naturally a bit distracted going into day four of the fourth Test.
“Of course, we are missing them massively. Ravi Bhai (Ravi Shastri), B Arun and R Shridar, they have been an extremely important part of this setup and they have done extremely well (in) the last five-six years and played a major role in the team doing well,” Rathour said after the end of day’s play.
Even with this situation, Team India is going pretty well in the fourth Test, Day 4. An exciting Day 5, the final day of the test match will be live today at 3.30 pm IST. Best of luck to Team India, stay tuned for the match!
