India To Play Tri-Nation Kabaddi Series In Pakistan

The prestigious Baba Guru Nanak International Kabaddi Cup is set to kick off on April 16 in Lahore. It is a tri-nation Kabaddi series including host Pakistan, India and Iran. 

The three-day tournament is named in honor of Baba Guru Nana, the founder of Sikhism. 

Pakistan-India-Iran Kabaddi Series

The matches of the kabaddi series will take place at the WAPDA Sports Complex in Lahore.

Both the Indian and the Iranian kabaddi teams have arrived in the city of Lahore for the competition. 

The Indian team, representing the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC), reached Lahore via the Wagah Border, where they were warmly welcomed by officials of the Pakistan Kabaddi Federation.

The Iranian team also had already arrived in Lahore a day earlier to take part in the tournament. Pakistan Kabaddi Federation warmly welcomed the Iranian contingent upon their arrival at Allama Iqbal International Airport.

The objective of the kabaddi series is to promote cross-border sportsmanship and cultural harmony.

The international event is expected to draw kabaddi fans from across the country as teams from Pakistan, India, and Iran face off in a show of strength, skill, and traditional South Asian sport.

All arrangements for the coveted kabaddi series have been completed under the leadership of Chaudhry Shafi Hussain, Provincial Minister for Industries and Trade and President of the Pakistan Kabaddi Federation.

According to Secretary Rana Muhammad Sarwar, Chaudhry Hussain played a pivotal role in ensuring the successful hosting of the event by gaining the cooperation of officials from the Iranian and Indian Kabaddi Federations.
