India delivered a commanding performance at the ISSF Junior World Cup Germany, finishing as the top nation in the medal tally. The competition started on 19 May and concluded on 27 May 2025 and featured 638 athletes coming from 59 countries.
The tournament featured multiple Olympic and non-Olympic shooting disciplines for under-21 athletes. India was a fiercely large contingent with 57 shooters and emerged as the most successful team with a total of 11 medals. Behind them was China with four medals, followed by Italy.
India’s Campaign At The ISSF Junior World Cup Germany
Indian shooters clinched three golds, four silvers, and four bronze medals, making a total of 11 medals. The gold rush was headed by Tejaswini, who secured the women’s 25m pistol gold on the final day, cementing India’s position at the top of the ISSF Junior World Cup Germany.
Tejaswini claimed the gold in the women’s 25m pistol, and she joined Shambhavi Shravan Kshirsagar, who won the gold in women’s 10m air rifle and Kanak, who claimed the women’s 10 m air pistol and defeated the reigning European champion.
Meanwhile, in the silver rush, Ojasvi Thakur won the silver in the women’s 10m air rifle, finishing just behind Shambhavi. Naraen Pranav and Khyaty Chaudhary also won the silver in the 10m rifle mixed team, narrowly missing gold to China in a close final. Razia Dhillon and Adriyan Karmakar won silver in women’s skeet and men’s 50m prone rifle, respectively. Karmakar also set the junior national record with a score of 626.7, narrowly missing the gold by just 0.3 points.
Naraen Pranav also won the bronze in men’s 10m air rifle, and Mukesh Nelavalli won the same in men’s 25m rapid-fire pistol. Meanwhile, Adriyan Karmakar won a bronze in the men’s 50m rifle 3 positions, and Himanshu and Shambhavi won a bronze in the 10m rifle mixed team in the ISSF Junior World Cup Germany.
