The Indian football’s probable squad for AFC Asian Cup 2027 Final Round qualifiers have been released.

Head coach Manolo Marquez named a 28-member probable squad for the Indian football team’s camp in Kolkata that will commence on May 8. This comes ahead of the Spaniard’s exit in June from the Indian football scenario. However, he has two matches left to supervise.

The first match is against Thailand in an international friendly and then Hong Kong on 10 June in the FIFA International window.

The match against Hong Kong at the Kai Tak Sports Park, in Kowloon City, will be India’s next game in the AFC Asian Cup 2027 Final Round qualifiers

India, eyeing three consecutive qualifications in the AFC Asian Cup, are placed in Group C, along with Bangladesh, Hong Kong China and Singapore. Only the group winner will qualify for the AFC Asian Cup 2027. Currently, all teams are on one point each after one game.

Sunil Chhetri, who came out of retirement, has found a place in the squad. Goalkeeper Gurpreet Singh Sandhu has been excluded making way for Vishal Kaith.

Mohun Bagan Super Giant forward Suhail Ahmad Bhat, who impressed in the Super Cup, earned his maiden call-up.
